We're looking for experienced Foreman to join our team in Mount Isa to oversee daily workshop activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. You will support and guide a team of tradespeople. Maintenance workflow and job allocation and ensure all work is completed to company standard. This is a Permanent, Full time, Monday to Friday role.

What you'll be doing:
As a Foreman at Hastings Deering, you will:
* Leadership & Team Coordination - Lead, coordinate, and supervise workshop personnel to achieve operational targets, ensuring smooth team performance and alignment with goals.
* Scheduling & Workflow Management - Manage daily scheduling, job allocation, and work prioritisation while maintaining accurate records, work orders, and reporting for operational efficiency.
* Safety & Compliance - Uphold safety standards by fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS procedures across all activities.
* Quality Assurance - Conduct quality checks, inspections, and final sign-off to guarantee all work meets technical and customer expectations, supported by accurate documentation.
* Workforce Development - Support team growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management, building capability and engagement.
* Collaboration & Productivity - Work closely with Service Supervisor, Advisor, and key stakeholders to optimise productivity and streamline operations.
* Technical Support - Assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical problem-solving to maintain high standards of service delivery.
What you'll need:
A successful teammate will have experience in:
* Qualified and experienced - hold a relevant trade qualification in mechanical, diesel fitting or heavy equipment.
* Leadership Experience - Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a workshop, mining, or heavy industry environment, ensuring effective team coordination and operational success.
* Technical expertise - strong background with large Caterpillar machines, diesel engines, mining/construction machine applications, and power generation.
* Industry knowledge - proven experience in frontline service within heavy mining and construction industries.
* Systems capability - confident with computing, including Microsoft AX and Power BI.
* Product knowledge - in-depth understanding of Caterpillar machinery, products, and services.
* Safety focused - committed to maintaining the highest standards of workplace health and safety.
* Customer-oriented communicator - highly developed verbal and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.
* Thrives under pressure - able to perform in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver on expectations.
