Electrical and Control Systems Engineer

About the Role
Australian Control Engineering (ACE) is seeking a skilled Electrical and Control Systems Engineer to join our Perth team. This role plays a critical part in the design, integration, and maintenance of high-performance electrical and control systems for a wide range of industrial clients across Australia.
You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise and practical experience will help deliver reliable, compliant, and innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement electrical and control systems for industrial facilities and infrastructure
* Configure, integrate, and commission PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, HMIs, and industrial communications networks
* Prepare technical documentation including scope of works, estimates, schematics, wiring diagrams, functional descriptions, and installation manuals
* Perform site inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance across new and existing installations
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
* Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field
* Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial electrical and control systems design, installation, and commissioning
* Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent) and SCADA configuration (e.g. GeoSCADA, Ignition, Aveva, PCS7)
* Strong understanding of electrical schematics, standards, and regulatory compliance
* Experience in sectors such as power, water, rail and renewable is highly regarded
* Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
* Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel to regional or remote sites as needed
