The Role
This position will oversee the leadership and management of the Department, promoting a clear vision and strategic direction. Collaboration with stakeholders within the College, University, Local Health Districts, and external organizations will be essential in developing education and research programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Academic Leadership: Foster excellence in teaching, research, and professional activities.
* Collaboration: Develop collaborative relationships within academia and with strategic partners.
* Strategic Planning: Manage resources and collaborate effectively with professional, government, and industry organizations.
Requirements
* PhD or equivalent in a health discipline.
* Understanding of medical workforce needs and a commitment to rural and regional health education and workforce development.
* Experience in rural health education, training, research, securing funding, and disseminating findings.
