About The Role
The Information Officer, Site Contamination works under limited direction and is responsible for administering and reviewing information received by the Site Contamination Branch; accurately recording information received by updating and maintaining EPA and spatial databases (GENI, EPA Maps and others) to ensure Public Register and other requirements are met; verifying and validating the location of sites and data locations; providing a high level of stakeholder and customer service; undertaking designated project work; and providing effective administrative support for the Manager and the Site Contamination Branch.
The Information Officer, Site Contamination is responsible for managing a backlog of information, documentation of guidance and processes as required, and supporting the transition to improved workflows through business system improvements. This will require working closely with a Business Analyst to inform the design, scoping and testing of new systems.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people of all levels within the public and private sector by providing excellent customer service.
* Demonstrated experience in establishing, maintaining and controlling records, and implementing records and data management systems.
* Experience in the uploading of information onto and use of spatial information systems to validate locations.
* Ability to undertake work in an efficient and timely manner.
* Demonstrated ability to cope with a high volume of work, and to work under pressure to produce accurate, high-quality documents and records within required deadlines.
* Ability to deal discreetly with confidential and potentially sensitive issues.
* Demonstrated ability in developing and updating processes and procedures relevant to the role.
* Experience in performing a wide range of clerical and administrative work, including identifying and/or implementing system and process improvements.
* Demonstrated capability in the Microsoft Suite of products including MS Teams and SharePoint, and ability to quickly pick up new systems.

Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge Or Experience
* Advanced expertise in the Microsoft Office suite of software.
* Knowledge of, or experience in, office and records management systems.
* Experience in the uploading of information onto and use of spatial information systems to validate locations (e.g. PLB PRO, Location SA, EPA Maps, SAPPA).
Remuneration
ASO4 ($76,561 - $80,256 per annum) + 12% super added to your choice of super fund.
Contract
Term contract (up to twelve [12] months) and full time (37.5 hours per week).
Special Conditions
* This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. A current National Police Clearance is essential.
* The incumbent may be required to work out of hours and as the need arises.
