Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort is looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our team on a full‑time basis with an ASAP start date.
Key Responsibilities
* Work alongside, direct and support kitchen team members ensuring excellence and consistency in the product delivered to customers.
* Oversee the performance of kitchen team members, upholding a standard of excellence and uniformity in the products offered to guests.
* Assist in the creation of menus, along with their corresponding cost analysis.
* Manage inventory levels and oversee all back‑of‑house food and labour expenses.
* Implement procedures to ensure an elevated standard of presentation, sanitation, service, and product calibre.
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and food standards.
* Manage recruitment, induction, training, and rostering of all kitchen team members.
* Curate and refine recipes to meet discerning culinary preferences, restrictions, and sensitivities.
* Craft meals tailored to an array of dietary limitations and allergies.
Qualifications
* Hold relevant Certificate III Cookery qualifications.
* Extensive experience working as a Sous Chef.
* Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in leading and motivating a highly skilled and diverse team.
* Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Availability to work a variety of shifts as required, including weekends and public holidays.
