Must Have
* Experience in system integration using middleware/messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, etc.
* Minimum 3+ years of hands‐on experience in design, configuration and tuning of the Apache Kafka event streaming platform for high volume and secure architecture.
* Thorough experience in configuring and optimizing Kafka components such as brokers, Zookeepers, streaming APIs, and custom source and sink connectors.
* Strong experience recommending and implementing Kafka topics, partitions, and replication strategies to meet performance goals.
* Strong experience in streaming design patterns, data ingestion (both batch and real‐time) using pub‐sub models.
* Experience in microservices architecture.
* Experience in Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate.
* Exposure to Confluent Kafka platform, tools and services.
* Excellent understanding of data streaming platform architecture and design.
* Excellent understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle and the application of quality processes.
* Knowledgeable in security standards such as Kerberos, OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, and their integration with Kafka components.
* Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools.
* Exposure to Kubernetes and container orchestration.
* Proficient in deploying Kafka on bare metal and public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP and Microsoft Azure.
* Experience with various monitoring and application insights technologies and how to best leverage them with the Kafka platform.
* Excellent analytical, problem‐resolution skills and a broad functional experience that allows closing the gap between business and technology.
