Teacher - Building and Construction or Vocational Trainer
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, ****.
We are looking for a skilled tradesperson with a desire to pass on knowledge to the next generation. Even without teaching or training experience you are encouraged to apply.
The Role
The role of Building and Construction Teacher or VTA at Cunderdin is to design, prepare and deliver quality training programs and assessment strategies in Building and Construction to Year 11 and Year 12 students. You will mentor students, ensuring they develop knowledge and skills and are aware of course requirements, timelines, and resources.
Ideal candidates will have experience delivering VET Certificate courses and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Industry currency and formal qualifications in Building and Construction are highly desirable.

Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights.

If you are a Vocational Trainer and Assessor, you must also demonstrate competency against the following work-related requirements:
Relevant current industry skills, knowledge, experience and competency in the industry vocation or professional field.
Comprehensive understanding and sound knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training Quality Framework, including Training Packages, Australian Qualifications Framework, the Standards for RTOs, Recognition of Prior Learning and competency-based training and assessment.
Ability to design and prepare training programmes and assessment materials to a high standard.
Sound written and verbal communication skills with appropriate interpersonal skills for working with young people.
Initiative and organisational skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
