Opportunity
Working for Rio Tinto at Cape Lambert we currently have a number of positions available for an experienced E&I; Coordinators to work FIFO Perth on an 8:6 roster. The opportunities are offered on a rolling 12-month contract with the likelihood of 2 years+ work. Rate up to $113 per hour plus super. Please note construction experience and S26 qualifications are a mandatory requirement for these positions.
About The Role
The responsibilities of this position include managing the implementation of site-based projects including upgrade to balanced machines, construction of a new sampling/robotic sampling facility and upgrades to chutes, conveyors and fixed plant. In this role you will be required to:
- Support the Construction Lead and Project Engineers to oversee contractor site reporting elements (cost, quality, schedule, site delivery & safety) related to the project.
- Collaborate with Project Advisors in ensuring that all site construction activities comply with and are delivered to Rio Tinto standards and policies for HSEQ and CMS.
- Identify potential schedule impacts and implement strategies to assist in schedule realignment.
- Identify opportunities and implement improvements during project delivery.
- Support the Project QA/QC team to identify deviation from Standards/ Specifications and assisting in verification of ITP/FIC.
- Assist in compiling punch lists prior to commissioning.
- Assist the Contractor and liaise with Operations during the commissioning phase.
About You
To be considered for these roles you will ideally have:
- Excellent stakeholder management.
- Proven experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary projects (i.e., building, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, civil and earthworks).
- Experience with building fabrication and construction within a brownfield setting.
- Exposure to RTIO Processes and systems advantageous (particularly in Project Delivery teams).
- S26 qualifications or progress towards completions with a confirmed exam date is essential.
