Make a genuine impact supporting good governance and risk management excellence
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Risk and Assurance Officer to join our Risk and Assurance team within the Office of the CEO.
This role plays a key part in supporting the City's governance framework and promoting a positive risk culture across the organisation.
About the Role
Provide expert advice and support on enterprise risk management, including the development, implementation and monitoring of risk frameworks, registers and controls.
Conduct and facilitate risk assessments, reviews and workshops across the organisation.
Prepare high-quality reports, correspondence and analysis to support informed decision-making.
Support the review and testing of the City's Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plans.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to promote awareness and continuous improvement in risk and assurance practices.
This is a dynamic and varied role that requires strong analytical skills, sound judgement, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
About You
A qualification in Risk Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a similar risk, assurance, or governance role within a large organisation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret legislation and apply it in a practical way.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
