About the role
As a Disability Support Worker at Young Mindz, you'll play a key role in delivering our community access, Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, and adventure-based mentor programs. Inspired by mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork, these programs foster emotional and psychological growth while building confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills. You’ll be part of a transformative experience, guiding participants through community access and day outings that create a lasting impact.
You will have the opportunity to support participants with:
Daily living tasks
Personal care
Meal preparation
Routines
Community participation
Respite trips
What we are looking for
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a disability support worker.
You have or can obtain the following:
Blue Card, WWCC, and NDIS Screening/Yellow Card
First Aid and CPR Certificate
Driver's license
Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
Ideal but not mandatory:
Cert IV in mental health or equivalent
Strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency with technology
Experience working with clients with high-intensity and complex behaviors
