The Mangrove Hotel are seeking an experienced Hotel or Motel Receptionist. This role is responsible for the daily operational efficiency of the hotel ensuring optimum guest satisfaction, anticipate and resolve problems which impact guest service and oversee the safety and security of all guests, employees and assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet guests on arrival and provide a warm, professional welcome
* Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently
* Handle reservations, cancellations, and booking enquiries via phone, email, and online systems
* Provide accurate information about room availability, rates, and hotel services
* Respond promptly to guest requests, questions, and complaints
* Process payments and maintain accurate guest records
* Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and issues are resolved
* Maintain a clean, organised, and presentable reception area
* Follow company policies, procedures, and security protocols
* Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sell services and facilities to guests.
* Complete month end reporting on Rooms Department.
* Regular liaison with Maintenance and Housekeeping ensuring requests are completed quickly focusing on guest needs as a priority within the department.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
* High attention to detail and organisational skills
* Basic computer skills and experience with booking systems (e.g. PMS)
* Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
Salary between $68,864 and $79,515 per annum plus superannuation.
