Due to their excellent reputation within the local and interstate infrastructure market, a leading engineering consultancy is experiencing a spike in project workload. They are now seeking an additional bridge engineer at an intermediate level, to join their team on a contract basis for a period of 6 months. The firm offers a challenging mix of structural renewal design projects as well as complex engineering investigations including inspections, structural assessment, load rating and modification and strengthening strategies. Your responsibilities will include: Technical design and assessment of bridges, including load ratings Conducting inspections of bridges and other civil structural assets Deliver bridge rehabilitation schemes, including strengthening and replacement works Providing both site and project management to a series of minor works Writing of technical engineering reports Travelling locally and interstate as and when required As well as exposure to the above you will have: A Bachelor of Engineering An intermediate level of demonstrated bridge engineering experience A strong knowledgeable of relevant codes and standards Excellent communication and presentation skills Extensive experience working on Australian road and rail bridge projects Strong report writing skills Experience managing project stakeholders This opportunity offers you: Career development as a bridge engineer, with a specific focus of practical engineering Full support and mentoring from the company’s Principal and Senior Structural Engineers Flexible work options Onsite parking and close to PT Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience For more information on this role, or other structural engineering opportunities, please contact Matt Sampson at m.sampson@aspectpersonnel.com.au or apply online.
