Finance Manager/Senior Finance Manager – Ecommerce
$140,000 - $160,000
This is a business that has already proven it works.
Strong brand, loyal customer base, multiple revenue streams, and serious growth behind it. What's next is scaling properly, with better visibility, sharper decision-making, and a finance function that keeps up with the pace of the business.
That's where this role comes in.
This is the first proper in-house finance hire for a fast-growing ecommerce brand. Up until now, finance has been handled externally and across the founders, but the business has reached the point where that's no longer enough.
They need someone embedded. Close to the numbers. Close to the decisions. Someone who can bring clarity to what's working, what isn't, and where the business should go next.
This is not a sit-back finance role. It's hands‐on, commercial, and right in the middle of a scaling business.
What you'll be doing
* Own day-to-day finance across the business, working directly with founders and senior leaders
* Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reporting that gives real clarity on performance
* Take ownership of P&L, cash flow, and forecasting, with a strong forward‐looking focus
* Partner closely with marketing to analyse CAC, nCAC, MER, contribution margin, and payback
* Translate marketing performance into financial insight that drives better decisions
* Build financial models for campaigns, launches, and growth initiatives
* Identify opportunities to improve margins, pricing, and overall efficiency
* Improve financial processes and reporting as the business continues to scale
* Work alongside external accountants while gradually bringing more in‐house
* Stay hands‐on, comfortable working in detail while also contributing at a commercial level
What we're looking for
* Experience at Finance Manager or similar level within ecommerce or consumer‐led businesses
* Strong understanding of ecommerce metrics, particularly CAC and MER, and how they impact profitability and cash flow
* Experience owning or significantly influencing a P&L in a fast‐paced environment
* Ability to partner with marketing teams and contribute to growth decisions
* Commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge and guide where needed
* Comfortable working in a founder‐led business where pace is high and structure is evolving
* Hands‐on approach, willing to build and improve rather than inherit a finished function
* Clear communicator, able to explain financial concepts in a straightforward, practical way
What makes this role different
You're not coming into a rigid finance structure. You're building it.
You're not reporting into layers of management. You're working directly with founders.
You're not removed from the business. You're in it, influencing decisions every day.
You'll see the impact of your work immediately, whether that's improving margins, guiding spend, or helping the business move faster with more confidence.
The business is already working. This isn't a turnaround. There's real scale, real revenue, and real opportunity to improve how things are done. You'll have genuine ownership and visibility from day one. And you'll be part of a team that is ambitious, fast‐moving, and building something meaningful.
If you want a role where finance is central to how the business grows, not sitting on the sidelines, this is one to look at.
