About the Role
We're looking for an energetic, organized, and hands-on Photography Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you'll not only capture high-quality group photos but also lead and support a team of photographers to deliver an exceptional photo day experience for students and schools.
You're responsible for ensuring every photo session runs smoothly, professionally, and on schedule. Managing pre & post photo day logistics and overseeing quality control processes to ensure all images meet our high professional standards.
This position requires strong photography and computer skills, excellent time management and the ability to manage large groups of people effectively. You'll work with people of varying ages and abilities, requiring patience, empathy, and professionalism. Adaptability and problem-solving are crucial as you'll need to think on your feet and respond to changing circumstances to keep photo day running seamlessly.
* Full time Position: Monday – Friday (Not your standard 9–5. Early starts and late finishes in Term 1 and 2)

Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and support a small team of photographers to deliver a smooth and successful photo day experience
* Effective time management
* Ensure photo days run seamlessly, efficiently, and on schedule
* Coordinate daily logistics, staffing rotations, allocating breaks and overseeing studio setups
* Photograph a wide range of school group photos, including class, cohort, and whole-school photography
* Liaise and communicate professionally with school staff, students, and parents
* Maintain high photography and quality-control standards, ensuring efficient workflow and attention to detail
* Identify and troubleshoot issues or changes to the schedule
* Assist in training and mentoring new team members
About you
* Photography experience is required – Event photography is highly regarded
* Strong understanding of photography equipment, lighting and composition
* Confident leading and coordinating small teams
* Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills
* Friendly, confident and professional when interacting with children and adults of all abilities
* Strong problem solving and adaptability to changing circumstances
* Ability to multitask effectively in fast paced environments
* Punctual and reliable
* Physically capable of loading and unloading photography equipment
* Experience in Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom is preferred
* Driver's licence is required
* Ability to obtain Blue Card & Working With Children Check
