Founded as Amezdroz and Menzies in Colac,Wettenhallshas been providing responsive, safe and innovative transportation solutions across the eastern and southern regions of Australia for 100 years.About the roleAs an Operations Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day to day transport operations, managing a team of drivers, subcontractors and ensuring compliance and safety and NHVR regulatory requirements for our Construction Division. You will play a key role in maintaining fleet efficiency, delivering excellent customer service and rectifying issues that arise during the operations.Position is based in Brooklyn and is permanent full time.Key Responsibilities:Effective management of the drivers and subcontractor drivers.Oversee and coordinate daily transport operations for contraction sites.Monitor workflow and respond to operational issues.Provide operational support between operations and maintenance teams.Ensure compliance with NHVR laws and company policiesEnsure allocated vehicles are inspected and ready for shift allocations.Working collaboratively with our customers to ensure delays and or service issues are communicated proactively to key stakeholders in the business.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle movements, driver hours and compliance checks,Other duties as required.Experience & Abilities requiredExperience in a supervisory role within transport.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with drivers.Ability to work autonomously .Strict adherence to Health Safety and Environment procedures and practices.A sound knowledge COR, NHVAS, transport legislation and regulations.Familiarity with oversized vehicles, specialized trailers and a strong knowledge of load restraints, permits and route planning.Experience with Transport Management systems, F2020, MT Data and MS office.Current Forklift Licence and Fork lift experience preferred but not essentialSound like you?
