Fitter Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our Workshop team based in Newcastle.
The successful candidate will have prior experience working in a similar industry and hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical, Fabrication Trade, or equivalent.
The role involves the installation of heavy vehicles and pre-delivery inspection duties, fabrication and installation of subframes from design to development and manufacture, installation of new cranes to Palfinger standards, service duties of new and used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders, preparation of annual inspection certificates, completion of all documentation, and adherence to site policies and procedures to enhance the safety culture and performance of the site.
* Prior experience working on heavy vehicles
* Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical, Fabrication Trade, or equivalent
* Experience with cranes and/or hook loaders is an advantage
* Ability to interpret drawings and procedures
* Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work safely
* Good time management and work prioritisation skills
* Current Drivers licence, HR preferable
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a National Police Check
