**The opportunity**:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Commissions Analyst to join our dynamic and engaging, full-function Finance team on a 4-month, fixed-term contract.
The Commissions Analyst will oversee the commission engine across our portfolio of globally recognised fitness brands (including Goodlife Health Clubs, Fitness First Australia, Barrys, and Zap Fitness 24/7) and is responsible for collating all financial information related to the payment of commissions.
Reporting directly to our FP&A Manager, this role would be suitable for an individual with prior experience in the accounting space, as a commercial analyst or perhaps a recently qualified CA/CPA.
This individual could be based from any of our support offices in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
**About you**:
This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, you will be highly data driven with an ability to analyse and communicate sometimes complex financial information. You will enjoy working as part of a team but have the ability to show autonomy to achieve deadlines.
**Key duties and responsibilities include**:
- Plan for the distribution of commissions to ensure timely and accurate payment of commissions to team members in accordance with remuneration policies.
- Prepare regular financial and statistical reports on commissions paid to ensure that the current commissions structure can be updated as required
- Create, update & maintain the commission models to ensure that commission calculation is accurate and effective in motivating employees
- Make recommendations about adjustments and changes to the commissions model that may be necessary to maintain the profitability of the model while continuing to motivate the sales teams
- Provision of commission accrual estimates for financial month end process
- Liaising with the operational leadership team (and P&C) on changes to commission payments and timelines of payment
**Qualifications and Experience**:
Essential
- Experience in a commercial accounting or business analyst role
- A good understanding of complex data interpretation, and accounting principles
- Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
- Analytical, problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail
Desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or business
- CA or CPA qualified
