Position Summary
Lead Practitioner | Disability Services, NDIS | Townsville
* Employment Term: Permanent Full Time (76 hours per fortnight)
* Location: Townsville
* Remuneration: $44.58 per hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)
Responsibilities
* Work in collaboration with people with disabilities, their families, and personal networks to assist the people we serve in everyday living situations.
* Mentor, lead and manage a team of Disability Support Practitioners to deliver high quality care and support.
* Ensure safe, efficient and sustainable day‐to‐day management of resources for particular arrangements, including staff, records, budget, buildings and vehicles.
* Implement intentional safeguards for people being supported.
* Recognise and uphold the right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the person being supported and their family.
Qualifications & Experience
* Leadership experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications in Human Services, Community Services or related industry.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and mentor staff, working within established budget, direction and guidelines.
* Demonstrated experience with internal and external reporting matrices and case management experience; beneficial for managing emergency or crisis situations.
* Willingness to understand application of principles of family or self‐governance, personal autonomy, choice and control, and intentional safeguarding for clients.
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge of driving safety measures and auditing requirements.
* Knowledge of legislation underpinning the provision of services within the disability sector and key issues affecting quality of life for people with a disability.
* Completed the NDIS worker orientation module "Quality, Safety and you" and capacity to undertake on‐call responsibilities.
* Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
