About the roles
In this role, you'll be part of a team of operators that are responsible for operating machinery to ensure material is produced to the commercial standard, identifying, and reporting faults and working in a safe manner.
24/5 - 8-hour weekday shifts, no weekends/public holidays OR 24/7 - 12-hour rotating shifts, includes weekends/public holidays
Responsibilities include:
* Engage the team to ensure the delivery of safe, low cost, efficient and high-quality production
* Deliver on production KPIs
* Ensure appropriate communication and feedback is in place, including technical review and recommendation of machine / site running conditions
* Complete routine maintenance tasks, such as high-pressure cleaning, removal of waste material from pits, channels, and vessels
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, including shovelling, sweeping, painting and vacuuming,
* Test operation of machines periodically & fix issues that might occur during the shift
* Maintain activity logs & carry out quality inspections
About you:
* Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments
* Proven capacity to collaborate effectively within a team setting
* Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
* Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
* Strong computer skills
* Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations, including consistent utilization of protective equipment
* Excellent physical endurance and strength
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical education background preferred
* Capability to operate a forklift - not essential
