Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a technical escalation point for Level 2 engineers and assist in resolving complex network and satellite connectivity issues.
* Design, implement, and optimize WAN, LAN, and satellite communication networks, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Configure and manage routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and satellite-based networking solutions.
* Work with network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and QoS to enhance network efficiency.
* Conduct network performance analysis, capacity planning, and security assessments.
* Develop and implement network automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools to improve operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with vendors and service providers to integrate new network technologies and solutions.
* Ensure compliance with network security best practices and implement firewall and intrusion detection policies.
* Document network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a Level 3 or senior role.
* Strong expertise in TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and SD-WAN.
* Experience working with enterprise-grade satellite communication networks (LEO/GEO) is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in configuring and managing networking hardware from Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Mikrotik.
* Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and network automation tools (Ansible, Python, or Terraform) is a plus.
* Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are preferred.
