This position will support the implementation of the Brighter Beginnings preschool health and development screening, and will provide assessment, early intervention, capacity building and direct care pathways for children in SWSLHD.The role also participates in the evaluation of Brighter Beginnings initiatives and assists in the developmentand provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role provides supervision to level 1/ 2 occupational therapists, allied health assistance and students as guided by the Head of Department and Brighter Beginnings Project Lead.Where You'll Be WorkingSWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney.These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. View our application guide for information on how to respond to criteria and improve your application.Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services within paediatric populations.Demonstrated experience in the identification of evidence based practice and/or development of treatment protocolsDemonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement processDemonstrated high level organisational and time management skillsDemonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring of staff and/or studentsExcellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programsApplicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
