We are partnering with an infrastructure organisation looking for an Operations Manager to manage a small team on an idyllic Island managing several large premises, accommodation and offices.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering Facilities Management services across the premises, while supporting other FM team members and contractors. You'll act as the first point of contact on site for reactive issues, including health and safety matters, isolations, initial make-safe actions, and first fixes, ensuring repairs are managed efficiently and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure effective technical delivery across the site, supporting Facilities Managers while implementing and maintaining strong asset management strategies.
* Supervise results through conducting audits and inspections by ensuring tasks are being completed up to company standards.
* Present staff meetings to ensure that the working environment is safe and efficient.
* Provide training and guidance to staff so that they're confident in the tasks being carried out.
* Maintain high levels of operational efficiency and overall productivity.
Requirements
* Current Australian Driver's Licence and be an Australian citizen.
* Strong understanding of compliance and operational excellence.
* At least 5 years' experience managing a team of technical Facilities Management staff, with the ability to set clear direction and timeframes to meet KPIs.
* Ability to obtain a National Australian Police Check
* Qualified in Electrical, Plumbing or HVAC along with 5+ years management experience.
