Hussey & Co, established in 1975, are renowned for producing Australia's finest gourmet baby leaf salad mixes.
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Handyman for a part-time position. The successful candidate needs to be resilient, have the ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment, and flexibility depending on operational demands.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for providing experienced technical and general maintenance services at our processing facility in Somerville.
Key Responsibilities
· Ability to complete work related to your qualification e.g. fabrication work
· Working with stainless steel and tig welding
· Assist with the installation and relocation of associated equipment or machinery
· Plan, coordinate and execute, preventative and reactive maintenance to machinery
· Diagnosis and repair of machinery in a timely manner
· Determine tools and equipment needed for individual repair and maintenance jobs
· Maintain an efficient and up to date data recording system
· Meet company KPI's
· Comply with all relevant OH&S legislation
Required Skills / Qualifications:
· Possess a valid qualification in a trade (desired but not essential)
· Ability to investigate problems, determine and implement root cause corrections
· Strong knowledge of various maintenance methods
· Technical skills set across a variety of engineering competencies
· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
· Hold a current driver's licence
· Good analytical skills and attention to detail
· Be available to work an on-call roster / breakdowns on weekends
