Established in ****, Direct Wholesale Tyres is North Queensland's premier distributor of fairly priced truck and trailer tyres.
We import containers of Aeolus, Toyo, Hankook, Longmarch, and Triangle Truck and Trailer tyres directly into Townsville.
Our extensive distribution network can get truck tyres to almost anywhere in Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Responsibilities
Perform regular scheduled maintenance service on a range of vehicle or equipment
Repair and replace worn and defective parts, reassemble mechanical components referring to service manuals as needed
Develop and implement mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns
Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
Complete and maintain service and inspection documentation ensuring compliance
May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
Respond to vehicle or equipment breakdown service calls
Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations
Qualifications
Strong mechanical knowledge on a wide variety of vehicle and equipment
Strong knowledge of mechanics, electrical, and electronic systems and tyre technology
Mechanical Technician trade qualification or equivalent
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Be physically fit
Strong communication skills
Strong diagnostic abilities and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
Client-focused mentality
Must have great work ethics

Salary: Between $75,000 and $80,000 per annum + Super
