Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Pastry Artist to join our team. As a key member of our pastry department, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
* Create high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to our standards
* Manage pastry station prep and organization for efficiency during busy periods
* Assist with recipe development, portion control, and costing
* Ensure all hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards are met and maintained
* Maintain consistency in product quality, appearance, and presentation
Requirements
* Trade-qualified in pastry arts/baking with at least 2 years' experience in a busy bakery, patisserie or cafe specialising in pastries/desserts
* Strong technical pastry skills, including tempering chocolate and lamination
* Excellent time management, planning prep work, managing production schedules, and meeting service demands
* Committed to food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and consistency in product quality
* Creative mindset with experience in developing new pastry/dessert items, seasonal specials, plating/presentation ideas
* Reliable and proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Availability of at least one weekend shift per week; flexibility is a plus
* Experience with stock and order management
