About your new employer…
A new and exciting opportunity to join a Category Planning team within a National Supply Chain based in Western Sydney. As a Specialist in Category Planning, you will be responsible for assisting in the establishment of the Category Planning function, which will manage the efficient flow of correspondence and information with internal and external parties regarding stock availability.
Please note this role is a fixed-term contract until June 2024.
About your new role
1. Understanding and ensuring transferable demand
2. Recommending product assortments that fit within the category space
3. Allocating and reviewing product space allocations
4. Ensure that production plans, allocation quantities, and distribution approach are aligned
5. Plan and lead supplier negotiations for key complex categories
6. Implement the end-to-end category management process
About you
1. 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain stock planning environment, preferably within retail or FMCG
2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence where required
3. Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
4. Analytical mindset for problem solving and root cause analysis
5. Experience in end-to-end stock planning
6. Intermediate MS Office Suite skill set
