Investment Research Specialist
This role is focused on delivering thought leadership, education and analysis to clients through face-to-face interactions and compelling, informative content.
The successful candidate will possess a strong research skillset and be able to convey complex investment concepts in an accessible manner to consultants, clients, and prospects. They will also have the ability to represent the firm at client conferences, meetings and events, speaking to the firm's investment philosophy, outlook and performance.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare and deliver presentations that convey complex investment concepts in more accessible terms for consultants, clients, and prospects.
* Conduct empirical research related to portfolio structure and implementation, run historical simulations, perform attribution and characteristics analysis, conduct econometric tests to evaluate the impact of different portfolio construction and implementation approaches on expected performance, costs and diversification of our investment strategies.
* Represent the firm at client conferences, meetings and events; speak to the firm's investment philosophy, outlook and performance, and promote the firm's investment management story to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications
* A minimum Masters degree in a discipline such as finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in a related role and a strong understanding of the asset management industry and capital markets.
* Experience doing empirical research with large datasets.
* Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to articulate investment concepts to a variety of audience types.
* Ability to resolve problems effectively and exercise independent judgement.
* Motivated to self-teach skills and apply learned knowledge to applicable tasks.
* Ability to operate and prioritize in a fast-moving & demanding environment and deal with complex situations.
