We are seeing emergencies occur more frequently and with more severity. This project is part of the broader, emergency preparedness, response and recovery programs of Australian Red Cross. The opportunity Becoming a Pillowcase Program Presenter Volunteer means you would be part of a network of volunteers who run one-hour sessions in schools where children learn about disaster preparedness through an interactive activity centred around decorating a pillowcase. The impact Emergencies can happen at any time. They can be as large as a flood or fire, or as personal as a death in the family. Research shows that better emergency preparation makes it easier for individuals, families and the community to recover. This is a great opportunity to have an impact in YOUR community.
