A fantastic opportunity has become available for an organised and detail-focused person to join our Wagga team as a Customer Service Representative (Full-Time).
About the role:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll be a key point of contact for customers and the sales team. This role is predominantly computer-based—processing orders, preparing quotes, and assisting reps with pricing, follow-ups, and customer updates. Accuracy and timely communication are critical.
Responsibilities:
* Process customer orders and backorders with high accuracy (email/phone/online)
* Prepare, price and revise quotes; convert quotes to orders
* Assist sales reps with quote requests, product info, ETAs and follow-ups
* Provide professional and timely customer service via phone and email
* Check stock availability, lead times and alternatives; liaise with suppliers where needed
* Maintain clean customer data and notes in our systems (CRM/ERP)
* Raise returns/credits paperwork and coordinate resolutions
* Support basic invoicing/admin tasks and daily end-of-day checks
* Work safely and in accordance with Southland processes and systems
* Contribute to a strong safety and continuous-improvement culture
Things we are looking for:
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
* Previous experience in customer service, order entry or internal sales (industrial/trade supply advantageous)
* Strong written and verbal communication; confident phone manner
* Proficient with MS Office and comfortable learning new systems (ERP/CRM)
* Organised self-starter who manages time and priorities well in a fast-moving environment
* Team player with a practical, "can do" approach to problem solving
* A current driver's license (preferred)
