We are seeking a Lead Technical Field Advisor to spearhead onsite overhauls of steam and gas turbines in the APAC region.
About the Role
This role is pivotal in delivering technical direction and support during critical outages. You will oversee the assessment, disassembly, reassembly, and condition monitoring of turbine components, ensuring top-tier performance for our clients in power generation, petrochemicals, and heavy industry.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Turbine Overhaul Leadership: Lead onsite overhauls with technical expertise, guiding the site team through disassembly and reassembly processes.
* Component Assessment: Perform fact-finding and condition assessments on turbine components and provide expert recommendations.
* HSEQ Excellence: Support the preparation of HSEQ documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans and Safe Work Method Statements.
* Tooling & Outage Prep: Advise on tooling requirements and assist with detailed outage preparations.
* Outage Scheduling: Collaborate with the team to develop and manage schedules for outage activities.
* Customer Engagement: Partner with the sales team and provide technical expertise during customer interactions.
* Comprehensive Reporting: Deliver detailed reports post-outage, capturing overhaul activities and assessments.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and address nonconformances while ensuring all onsite documentation is completed.
* Travel Opportunities: Some travel across the APAC region to support diverse projects.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
* 10+ years in technical field roles for steam or gas turbines.
* OEM-backed training on steam and gas turbines.
* Deep knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance practices.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
