There are two (2) 12 month, fixed term, full-time positions commencing Term 1, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency

Collie Senior High School (SHS) is proud of its strong, positive staff culture, which has contributed to a stable team for many years. Due to staff movement, retirements, and leave, we are currently seeking to appoint two teachers for 2026, with the potential for these roles to become permanent in the future.

The Role

We are looking for educators who demonstrate professional knowledge, effective practices, and experience in delivering an engaging and relevant secondary school curriculum across Humanities and Social Sciences. Applicants who have experience or knowledge of Career and Vocational Education will be highly regarded. Applicants should be relationship-focused, flexible, and committed to culturally responsive and inclusive learning approaches.

As a member of the Collie SHS staff successful applicants will ideally:

* Champion the school's vision and values, fostering a culture of honesty, respect, commitment, and aspiration.
* Promote restorative practices and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to enhance student wellbeing and engagement.
* Collaboratively work with staff to deliver and differentiate curriculum that meets the needs of individual students.
* Provide purposeful and meaningful learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
* Employ research-based, high-impact teaching strategies to cater for diverse student needs.
* Embed positive behaviour strategies within their instructional practice.
* Create and maintain a supportive, safe learning environment that enables all students to achieve their highest potential.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Collie Senior High School in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.

The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
