The Opportunity
Humes, a leader in precast concrete solutions, is seeking a high-energy, \"hands-on\" Yard Supervisor to join our operations in Townsville. This role helps drive operational excellence, ensuring a culture of safety, and delivering high-quality infrastructure products that support the growth of Queensland.
Core Responsibilities
As a Yard Supervisor, you will be in the engine room of the facility, duties will vary reasonably but focus areas will include:
* Safety: Maintaining a safe system of work in the workplace.
* Yard Activities: Customer delivery schedules are met whilst ensuring that products meet specified quality requirements and safety requirements have been adhered to.
* People and communication: Communicate daily and weekly goals to the team.
* Quality Control: Ensureproducts meet customer requirements and any defects have been identified and reported prior to leaving the site.
* Environmental: Report environmental issues/incidents to the site Manager.
About You
We are looking for someone who doesn't mind getting their boots dirty and thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment.
* Industry Savvy: Experience in precast concrete or a heavy-duty related industry is highly preferred.
* Safety First: You don't just follow safety rules; you champion them.
* Proactive Mindset: You are known for getting on the front foot and taking immediate ownership of production challenges.
* Results-Driven: You have a proven track record of meeting-and exceeding-stakeholder expectations.
