Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Servicing Complex Security Solutions
Rapiscan Systems designs and manufactures security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles, and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs, and contraband. These devices can be found in airports, border crossings, railway stations, seaports, terminals, government installations, and nuclear facilities.
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for ensuring sites meet contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA). This involves routine work including installation, repair, and maintenance support of Rapiscan's Checkpoint & Trace products in Australia and New Zealand. The FSE must also ensure the quality of project and service work meets client requirements within the scope of the statement of work.
Detailed Responsibilities:
1. Installation of the full range of Company's Checkpoint & Trace products at customer sites.
2. Routine preventative and breakdown maintenance of the Company's equipment at customer sites.
3. Provide out-of-hour standby cover as part of established teams.
4. Carry out basic Operator and Technical training when required at customer sites.
5. Carry out site surveys and advise customers on technical matters prior to installations.
6. Complete all reporting requirements, both internal and customer-based reports, in a timely manner.
7. Comply with all QA and HSE requirements, as stipulated by the company and relevant legislation.
8. Travel as required.
9. Any other departmental ad-hoc duties when required.
