The Role
The successful applicant will be required to work full time Mon – Fri, with hours per day negotiable for the right applicant, and a requirement to work every second Sat from 9am – 12pm.
Primarily the role requires the individual to assist retail customers and builders to make selections of window furnishing products and flooring products for their new homes or renovation projects.
As part of the role you will be required to take payments, place orders, calculate quantities, conduct in home consultations and measures, provide quotations and assist with planning installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers and provide assistance as required
- Provide exceptional customer service from initial consult through to selection / installation of product
- Conduct on-site measures and provide quotations to customers in a timely manner
- Draw up plans and calculate quantities required for customer projects
- Liaise with manufacturers about product lines
- Ordering products to arrive to meet installation schedules
- Maintaining showroom displays
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in similar field preferred but not essential; training provided to the successful candidate
- Experience in customer service
- Ability to multitask in a busy setting
- High level of attention to detail
- Able to work autonomously or as part of a team
