About the Opportunity
Experience Broken Hill is seeking a friendly, capable, hands on Park Management Couple to lead day to day operations across our family owned accommodation group in Broken Hill, Far West NSW. Our group includes two caravan parks, a well established motel and a selection of self contained cottages that support a strong mix of tourism, workers accommodation and returning guests.
This is a great opportunity to live and work in one of Australia’s most iconic outback destinations, known for wide open landscapes, a vibrant arts scene and genuine community spirit. You will be joining a supportive family business that is passionate about creating great experiences for our guests and team every day.
Typically, one partner focuses on office and reservations while the other takes the lead on grounds, maintenance and operations. Both roles are hands on and work closely together with support from our Leadership Team, our permanent full time and part time team members and our seasonal team members.
Key Responsibilities
Park Operations and Guest Service
- Manage day to day operations across the caravan parks, the motel and the cottages
- Oversee guest services including check ins and outs, reservations, emails and phone enquiries
- Work with our Permanent Part time Night Caretaker to share overnight on call duties and respond to any urgent guest needs or park matters
- Assist with cleaning and laundry tasks as required
- Complete simple end of month processes and reporting
- Support guest engagement, seasonal activities and park events
Grounds and Maintenance
- Mowing, gardening and irrigation checks
- Pool care, painting and general repairs
- Practical maintenance work across all properties
- Support operational tasks such as emptying bins and room stripping when needed
Cleaning and Housekeeping Support
- Assist with cleaning cabins, amenities, motel rooms and cottages as required
- Assist with linen and laundry as required
Leadership and Team Support
- Lead and support our friendly team across housekeeping, guest services and grounds
- Work closely with our Leadership Team which includes the Head of Housekeeping and the Head of Building and Construction
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members
- Maintain safe, smooth and high standard operations across all properties
What You Will Bring
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Previous caravan park industry or equivalent experience is advantageous
- One partner confident with office systems, RMS or NewBook experience is highly regarded
- One partner with strong grounds, maintenance and practical problem solving skills
- Physically fit with a hands on mindset and confidence working outdoors
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a supportive team approach
- Sound computer literacy and general business understanding
Requirements
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to complete
- Current drivers licence
