Queensland Metals Glencore is currently seeking a Supervisor – Filter Plant within our Zinc Concentrator department reporting to the Services Superintendent. In this role you will be required to effectively co-ordinate and supervise the personnel as they complete their shift activities at the Zinc Filter plant Operation asset.

The Role
As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks and duties are carried out in a safe and timely manner. This is a residential position, and you will be required to work in accordance with a 7 on 7 off roster
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Management of your crews performanceSupervise the day to day running of operational teams for the Filter PlantTake ownership and accountability to meet agreed targets in a manner consistent with our valuesProvide mentoring to and effectively communicate with your operational crewsBe safety focused and prepared to work with others to achieve daily targets and outcomes while continuing to drive a safe, productive and effective workplace where teams are empowered and supported to make improvementsOversee and maintain compliance for operations crews with safety and training
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
Previous experience with frontline leadershipA minimum of 5 years working in the operational side of the mining industryThe ability to lead by example and a strong work ethicA genuine concern for safetyExperience in budget control, Microsoft Office Suite, Ellipse, SAP and/or similar software packagesTechnical knowledge in Filtration plant operationsPossess a high level of organisational skills will ensure you thrive in this fantastic opportunity for career progression
