About the School

Holy Spirit Infants School, Abermain is the only infants school in the Diocese of Maitland‐Newcastle. The school offers a holistic Catholic education for early learners in the Hunter Valley area, fostering a faith‐filled learning culture where students become confident, courageous and collaborative learners.

Position Overview

The role is a Temporary Part‐Time Executive Assistant to the Principal (30 hours per week), starting Term 2 2026 and concluding Term 1 2027, with flexibility to work across campuses.

Responsibilities

* Support the Principal's administrative, coordination and organisational needs.
* Provide executive priorities, communication and administrative practices across sites to ensure consistency and continuity of support.
* Oversee day‐to‐day administration support services as delegated by the Principal.
* Maintain confidentiality, discretion, sound judgement and initiative at all times.

Experience & Skills

* Clear understanding of and personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools.
* Exceptional interpersonal capabilities with strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
* Experience using initiative and self‐motivation in the workplace, including leading a team.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy, managing multiple tasks, projects and people under time pressure.
* Proficiency in administration tasks, including Microsoft Office and other relevant database programs.
* Ability to organise, prioritise and multitask to meet various deadlines.
* Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
* Understanding of and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Self‐motivated, able to work autonomously, accountable for own work and willing to work in a team environment.
* Willingness to comply with CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy.

Qualifications

* Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
* Completion of anaphylaxis training.
* Completion of First Aid training or willingness to complete.
* Certificate IV Business Management or equivalent experience.

Conditions of Employment

Salary in accordance with the New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025.
