Overview

The Director Operations, Clinical Hub is responsible for performance, planning and operations of the QAS Clinical Hub. The QAS Clinical Hub provides patient centric oversight of ambulance demand and performance across the state, efficient distribution of resources, statewide health navigation, including the utilisation of alternate healthcare pathways, and risk mitigation services for patients and health practitioners calling Triple Zero (000) in Queensland. This role provides leadership and oversight of the operations of the Clinical Hub.

- Demonstrated expertise in managing the coordination of a contemporary and emerging pre-hospital service delivery model including complex, diverse, and emerging healthcare pathways.
- Demonstrated proven success in identifying and developing new ways forward by thinking strategically to provide innovative and effective solutions to existing or emerging issues.
- Proven ability to drive and influence change to statewide service delivery systems, increasing responsiveness to the needs of patients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated superior leadership skills with proven success leading and inspiring diverse, professional teams in an workplace of competing priorities and needs with limited resources.
- Demonstrated expert communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills with the proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships internally, with external partners and other key stakeholders.
- Superior critical thinking, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to interpret financial and trend/output/outcome performance data to drive performance improvement.

Mandatory requirements

- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
- Position may require participation in shift work (including weekends) and on-call duties.
