Information Technology Recruitment Consultant at Bridge IT Engineering
Bridge IT Engineering is seeking a Build Automation Technical Specialist for a federal government department with offices in the ACT. The role is primarily a technical hands-on position, responsible for contributing to the development of automation tools to support the build, configuration and deployment of deployable ICT nodes. These tools will streamline and simplify processes required to build and deploy nodes, reducing staff effort and cost.
- 13 months initial contract with up to 2x 12 month potential extensions
- Location: ACT
- Australian Citizenship with NV1 security clearance is required
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support for capability via scripting, automation and orchestration tasks to enable system build sequence automation using a combination of technologies.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of disaster recovery solutions leveraging the VMware suite of products.
- Develop documentation to describe the design, configuration and implementation of build automation tools and associated system components.
Experience Requirements
- Powershell, Ansible and associated scripting languages/technologies
- DevSecOps toolsets and methodologies
- GitLab
- Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems and enterprise applications
- VMware suite of datacentre products
- Version controlled infrastructure deployments
- Automating patching, updates, and compliance checks
- 10+ years relevant experience in secure ICT systems in the Defence domain
