About Us
Lost Reality is a premier escape room provider in Perth, operating two busy locations in Cannington and Victoria Park. We are known for our immersive themes and high-quality puzzles. We are currently in a growth phase, with plans to expand to a third location this year.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Full-Time Technician to take ownership of the technical maintenance and production across our venues.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our rooms are fully operational at all times. You will handle preventative maintenance, urgent repairs, and the fabrication of spare parts using our 3D printers and workshop tools.
This is a hands-on position ideal for a creative technician who takes pride in reliability and craftsmanship. All tools, 3D printers, and materials are provided by the business.
Key Responsibilities

* Repairs: Perform timely repairs on broken props, scenic elements, and electronic components to minimize room downtime.
* 3D Design & Fabrication: Use 3D printers to design and produce spare parts, replacement props, and upgrades for existing games.
* Room Upgrades: Identify weak points in current game designs and engineer more durable solutions.
* New Build Support: Assist with the technical fit-out, prop construction, and installation for our upcoming third location.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of all completed repairs, maintenance tasks, and safety checks. Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables to ensure essential supplies are always on hand.
Skills & Experience Required
* Practical Build Skills: Demonstrated experience in carpentry and fabrication using power tools.
* 3D Printing & CAD: Demonstrated experience with 3D printing and CAD software (e.g. Fusion 360 or Blender) to design functional parts.
* Electronics: Basic understanding of low-voltage electronics (12V systems), soldering, and wiring. Knowledge of Arduino or Raspberry Pi is highly regarded but not mandatory.
* Problem Solving: A strong problem solver who can work independently, look at a broken prop, figure out why it failed, and use the right tools to rebuild it stronger.
* Reliability: A proactive approach to work with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
* Driver's License: Ability to travel between all our locations as required.
What We Offer
* Stability: A permanent full-time position with a stable roster.
* Resources: We provide all necessary power tools, 3D printing equipment, and materials required to get the job done.
