Job Title: Mental Health Dual Diagnosis Allied Health Navigator
This role requires a clinician with advanced reasoning and practice skills to work autonomously in the emergency department.
The Dual Diagnosis Allied Health clinician will conduct transdisciplinary assessments, provide brief interventions, and elevate referrals to other Allied Health colleagues as needed.
* Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with the Mental Health Clinical Nurse Consultant and Emergency Psychiatry Medical Team led by the Consultant Psychiatrist.
* Completing mental health care plans for patients being admitted to a mental health unit and informing or supporting discharge for consumers from the ED.
* Fostering close professional links across all roles, facilities, and services to meet the needs of consumers with a Dual Diagnosis of Mental Health and Drug and/or Alcohol condition.
The ideal candidate will have current AHPRA Registration or Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
