We are currently seeking an experienced Japanese Sous Chef to join a high-quality restaurant located in a stunning resort setting on the Queensland coast. You will work under two senior chefs and offers the opportunity to live onsite and enjoy the relaxed beachside lifestyle Queensland is known for.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee food preparation and cooking
* Prepare a variety of sushi and traditional Japanese dishes in line with established standards for quality, portioning, presentation, and food safety
* Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment to prevent food contamination
* Conduct regular inventory checks of food supplies and kitchen stock
* Communicate with front-of-house staff to ensure special requests and dietary needs are met
* Manage stock ordering and ensure kitchen safety standards are maintained
* Work schedule: 5 days per week
Requirements & Skills
* Several years of experience in Japanese cuisine
* Ability to speak Japanese is an advantage
* Strong work ethic and a passion for high-quality food

We are seeking a person with chef experience to join the excellent restaurant in sunny Queensland. The role is offering opportunities to live in the Accommodation and enjoy seaside resort lifestyle in Queensland.
ROLE
* Manage food preparing and cooking;
* Preparing various types of sushi and Japanese dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
* Maintaining a clean work environment in order to prevent food contamination.
* Regularly taking inventory of food supplies and other products.
* Communicating with wait staff to ensure that special requests and food allergy considerations are met.
* Maintain Kitchen hygiene and safety issues, and stock ordering
* 5 days a week
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
· A few years of Japanese cuisine cooking experience
· Japanese speaking is advantage
