Overview
Data Engineering and Analytics Specialist Recruitment Consultant role in Melbourne. Senior (and potential Lead) Data Engineering & Analytics Consultants with strong consulting experience to drive delivery of innovative client projects. This is a hands-on consulting role with the opportunity to step into a Lead position, guiding teams and shaping the consultancy’s data capability. You’ll design and deliver solutions across modern data platforms with experience in Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric is highly valued; DBT experience is also desirable. Projects include AI and advanced analytics initiatives in the near future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver client projects in data engineering and analytics.
- Build and optimise scalable pipelines and workflows.
- Develop and maintain models across Snowflake, Fabric, Databricks, Redshift, and Big Query.
- Work with ETL tools such as DBT, Fivetran, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Advise stakeholders on best practices in data engineering and analytics.
- Mentor junior consultants and help shape the consultancy’s growing culture.
Skills & Experience
- Essential: Strong SQL skills.
- Highly valued: Python or Java/C#.
- Proven consulting experience with contemporary data platforms, ideally including Snowflake and Fabric.
- Familiarity with DBT, Fivetran, and ADF.
- Exposure to ML, APIs, NoSQL databases, and major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
