About the Opportunity
Are you an Auditor or Accountant with at least a year of experience in public practice, looking to take the next step in your career? Are you detail‑focused, curious about how businesses operate, and keen to further develop your audit skills while working alongside experienced professionals?
LBW Business + Wealth Advisors is seeking an Auditor to join our growing Audit team. This role is suited to someone who has completed their accounting degree and has at least 12 months’ experience in audit or accounting, and is ready to build deeper technical capability across a broad range of audit engagements.
You’ll work closely with Senior Auditors, Supervisors and Managers, supporting financial statement audits, compliance and special purpose engagements while continuing to develop your understanding of audit standards, financial reporting and client engagement. What You’ll Be Doing
As an Auditor at LBW, you’ll contribute across a wide range of engagements, including:
Audit & Engagement Support
* Assisting with financial statement audits, special purpose audits and regulatory/compliance engagements
* Supporting all phases of audit engagements from planning and fieldwork through to completion
* Preparing and reviewing working papers, audit documentation and worksheets
* Assisting with the preparation and review of financial statements and supporting documentation
* Evaluating and documenting client internal controls
* Preparing draft audit reports under supervision
Client & Stakeholder Interaction
* Liaising directly with a broad range of clients, primarily via phone and email
* Building strong, professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
* Communicating with external parties such as the ATO and banks where required
Learning & Development
* Continuing to develop a working knowledge of audit standards and methodologies
* Gaining exposure to a diverse range of industries and business structures across Australia
* Actively contributing to team initiatives and continuous improvement within the Audit division
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting (completed)
* At least 1 year’s experience in either an accounting or audit role (public practice desirable)
* Experience communicating with clients (face‑to‑face and/or phone/email)
Skills & Attributes
* High attention to detail with strong accuracy and record‑keeping skills
* Well‑developed organisational and administrative abilities
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confident and professional phone manner
* Ability to analyse information, problem‑solve and work methodically
* Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure
* Strong computer literacy across Microsoft Office and relevant industry software
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* High level of professionalism and confidentiality
