Position Details
Palm Lake Care Toowoomba is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse to join our clinical leadership team on a Full Time basis. You'll work closely with the Clinical Manager to ensure the highest standards of clinical care are delivered every day.
You'll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values innovation, communication, and compassion in every aspect of care.
Shifts Available
Day Shift and Weekend shifts available with penalty rates
Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring quality care and compliance across the home. Your key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and supporting the day today delivery of high-quality clinical care under the guidance of the Clinical Manager
* Providing clinical leadership and mentoring to Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants
* Overseeing resident assessments, care planning, and documentation in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards
* Managing and reviewing complex wound care and coordinating allied health referrals
* Supporting the Clinical Manager in audits, quality improvement programs, and compliance activities
* Promoting excellence in infection control and clinical governance
* Assisting with staff education, onboarding, and performance support
* Ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Code of Conduct, Aged Care Quality Standards, and Charter of Rights
* Participating in continuous improvement and clinical meetings to enhance resident outcomes
What We're Looking For
To thrive in this leadership role, you will bring:
Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration
* Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration
* Minimum two (2) years' experience in a senior nursing role within Residential Aged Care
* Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
* Gerontology Certificate / Diploma or willingness to undertake same
* Excellent clinical assessment, leadership, and mentoring skills
* Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to deteriorating residents
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and health professionals
* Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
* Current National Police Check and valid C-Class Driver's Licence
