We collaborate with key Defence entities, including Defence Digital Group (DDG), National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and branches across the Navy, Army, and Air Force.

We're currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer for The Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) Program.

This role involves:

* Support quality assurance and governance by developing and implementing procedures and best practices.
* Plan and conduct audits, overseeing surveillance and compliance checks for ship upgrade and construction programs, with real-time corporate reporting.
* Develop technical content by creating and refining plans and processes across multiple projects in collaboration with industry experts.
* Manage stakeholder engagement, facilitating discussions and resolving technical issues using software tools like JIRA and TRMS.
* Ensure quality and compliance by assessing reports, technical packages, and equipment performance while identifying and addressing non-conformances.

We require candidates with defence industry experience in:

* Proven ability to develop and publish plans and processes, ensuring clarity and compliance in technical documentation.
* Strong drafting and publishing skills, with proficiency in MS Word and PDF formatting for professional documentation.
* CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, to support technical design and visualization tasks.
* Engineers Australia Stage 1 competency for Engineering Associate or ability to obtain within three months.
* Minimum AQF Level 6 qualification (Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent) in an engineering-related field.
* Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality practices and principles to ensure industry compliance and best practices.
