Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Digital Health
Location: Australia (Remote)
Commitment: Part-time (2–3 days per week)
Compensation: Salary + Founder-level Equity
Overview
We are working with an early‐stage, venture‐backed digital health company with a live product, early traction, and clear plans to scale. The business is now at a key inflection point and is looking to bring on a Chief Technology Officer to take full ownership of the technology function and build the foundations for growth.
The Role
This is a hands‐on, founding‐level CTO role. You will define the technical strategy, lead architecture decisions, and evolve the platform to support scale, while working closely with the founder and broader team.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and define the technical vision and roadmap
* Lead platform architecture, scalability, and performance
* Oversee ongoing development across web and mobile
* Improve and evolve the existing codebase
* Build and lead the engineering team over time
* Ensure systems meet healthcare data, privacy, and security standards
* Support technical input into partnerships and growth initiatives
Required Experience
* Previous CTO / VP Engineering / senior technical leadership experience
* Track record building and scaling digital health platforms
* Experience working within regulated healthcare environments
* Strong understanding of data privacy and security requirements
* Hands‐on engineering background with strong architectural judgement
* Comfortable operating in early‐stage, fast‐moving environments
