Looking for a Senior Electrical Supervisor to commence ASAP in the Rockhampton Region working Monday - Friday!

With 1,500 staff and extensive facilities, it supports regional areas, trains young tradespeople, and swiftly responds to disasters, ensuring community resilience and industry stability. They are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Supervisor to join their team on a short-term basis with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
* Deliver expert electrical engineering advice and technical support to internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders, including guidance on legislation, standards, and best practices.
* Manage and supervise electrical construction, maintenance, and upgrade projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and budgetary requirements.
* Lead and support staff and subcontractors, including performance management, training, and the coordination of apprentice development and competency assessments.
* Oversee and enforce workplace health and safety (WHS) practices by conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, while promoting a consistent safety culture in collaboration with WHS advisors.
* Ensure all electrical work is properly documented and certified, including test results, and risk assessments
* Provide accurate pricing and estimates for minor electrical works and offer technical oversight for small air-conditioning and refrigeration installations.
* Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3000), and industry codes, ensuring all practices align with regulatory and safety requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
* Trade-qualified electrician
* Current QLD Electrical Licence or Fitter/Mechanic
* Driver's licence
* White Card
* Experience in domestic and commercial installations
* Previous supervisory/leading hand experience
* Be willing to travel for work when required
* Ability to complete a police check
* Must have contactable References
* Living locally in the Rockhampton Region
