Project Officer * Salary: $97,955 - $111,142 (plus superannuation) * Ongoing position * Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) * Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (flexibility may be available) The Position This role sits within the Operational Policy and Sector Engagement (OPSE) team of the Training Operations and Assurance branch. OPSE's key focus is developing and maintaining the VET funding contract and related business frameworks. The contract is the key tool that sets out how TAFEs, Learn Local organisations and private training providers deliver subsided VET training in line with government policy. OPSE analyses broader trends in VET policy and regulation with a view to improving operational policy. We also engage with internal and external stakeholders, including producing plain-English information products for training providers. In the Project Officer role, you will: * coordinate and quality assure updates to contracts and other documents * provide high quality advice about contract requirements and respond to training provider enquiries * contribute to the team's engagement functions * contribute to writing guidance for training providers * develop and maintain efficient team procedures. Main accountabilities: * Develops and implements operational policy which impacts the immediate work area. * Prepares reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues that impact at program or organisational level. * Advice and analysis contributes to policy formulation. * Develops and implements operational communication and consultation strategies on specific projects. * Manages projects, usually under limited direction. * Conveys specialist concepts and policies to clients, staff and stakeholders.
