Tactical Solutions Pty Ltd is expanding and we are seeking an experienced X‑Ray & Security Equipment Technician to join our Gold Coast team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of law enforcement, security, emergency services, and defence technology, supporting critical capability across Australia.
About the Role
X‑Ray & Security Equipment Technician
You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault‑finding of advanced security screening and detection equipment, including deployments across multiple states and territories.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of x‑ray and security screening equipment
* Servicing and fault diagnosis of x‑ray baggage scanners and walk‑through metal detectors and other security equipment
* Providing on‑site and remote technical support to customers
* Completing service documentation and compliance recordsSupporting demonstrations, trials, and customer training where required
* Contributing to continuous improvement of service and maintenance processes
About You
* Qualified Electrician (essential or highly desirable)
* Demonstrated experience with x‑ray baggage scanners and walk‑through metal detectors (highly advantageous)
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
* Comfortable working independently and travelling nationally
* Professional communication skills with customers and stakeholders
* Ability to obtain and maintain relevant clearances and licences
Desirable Experience
* Experience in business development, technical sales support, or customer relationship management
* Experience managing or contributing to service and maintenance programs
* Background working with law enforcement, security, defence, or emergency services equipment
